Dethany in Virtu/Noir

I’m proud to debut “Dethany in Virtu/Noir,” an interactive novella featuring Dethany of “On the Fastrack” as she adopts a 1940s private eye persona to solve a crime in cyberspace. Along with John Lotshaw and my wife Teri Holbrook, we’ve created a unique blend of words and images, available for the iPad. Readers will be able to make choices determining the direction of the plot, and we estimate that it offers roughly two hours of crime-solving fun. It’s yours for $2.99. Learn more about it by visiting its website here.

2014 Appearances

I’ve returned from Seattle’s Emerald City Con where I had a marvelous time. I shared a booth with the creators of Skin Horse, Shaenon Garrity and Jeffrey Wells, and Shaenon’s husband Andew Farrago of San Francisco’s Cartoon Art Museum. I did a sketch of Dethany as Skin Horse’s Unity, which you can see here. I’d like to thank everyone for dropping by. (Oh, to “Matt” who bought seven books from me around noon on Saturday, please contact me at bholbrook1@gmail.com) One of the big highlights of the weekend was the panel covering the history of webcomics with Shaenon, Phil Foglio and Brad Guigar. Everyone had something unique to offer, as we all covered the various business models we’ve tried over the years. As befitting our different audiences we all arrived at different mixes of support. That’s one of the great things about webcomics. (more…)
