    • One would think this would have been caught by any medical check-ups she’s had over the last couple months. And planned for.

      And the probable medical complications from zero-gee pregnancy are legion. Sam’s gonna be in the one-gee section all the time.

      • You beat me to it, though depending on when conception was, a routine check may not have caught it. Pregnancies regularly go weeks before noticed.

        And yes, she’s going to have to stay on the rotating part of the ship during the pregnancy if she wants any hope of the child having a chance at a life when they get back to Earth…unless she decides to use her genetics knowledge to fix any development issues that occur as a result of this

  1. I will now tell the little voice in the back of my head screaming about how gravity aids in the development of a fetus to be quiet. Ahem. “Quiet, you.” There, I can now enjoy this silly story arch.
