  1. It will be great for withstanding the forces of acceleration (assuming the bags don’t burst.

    There have been experiments with acceleration while fully immersed, and people can withstand quite a bit more that way. There are still issues, however, with air pockets (e.g. lungs) collapsing under very high acceleration, but there have been experiments (on mice) indicating that liquid breathing (substituting air for an oxygen-containing liquid mammals can breathe) will take care of most of these problems.

    It’s never been done on humans, but, in theory, it should work.

  2. Wouldn’t remora’s parents be embarrassed by being treated like a goldfish and wouldn’t the other crew members have questions because the world doesn’t know about mermaids.
