  1. Wearing shirts with the Fastrack logo on them?

    How’s that for blatant advertising?

(Now let’s hope Bill will be able to stretch this labor out till next Saturday)

    • The mission wouldn’t have been possible without Fastrack footing the bills, so it seems only fair that Rose should get just as much publicity mileage as possible.

      • I know that, but I’d’ve thought Samantha would be down to just her headband and the black sports bra she’s been wearing in the ultrasound scenes by now…

        • An ultrasound requires the patient to expose her abdomen; gel is applied, and a sensor wand is passed across the womb to provide a sonar-image.

Barring the need for a Cesarean Section surgery to remove the baby, the normal birth process all happens much lower down. Sam can keep her shirt, but had to lose her pants.

  2. BTW, I just thought of something quite amusing. If Samantha had gone into labor on the spacecraft, she’d probably be having her labor to the tune of “The Blue Danube” by Johann Strauss II (the music Homer was eating his floating crisps to when he went into space)

    • You mean the same music used in 2001: A Space Odyssey? Lol.

On Mars, maybe Planets: Mars, the Bringer of War, by G Holst?

But this is a comic, so Pictures at an Exhibition: Ballet of the Unhatched Chicks… because she’s hatching…

  3. Hey, Bill,
Did you do any research on how giving birth on Mars might differ from Earth? With a gravity only 38% of Earth, Mars could make labor easier but longer. I’m only guessing off the top of my head.

But I am curious. The info may come in handy in one of my stories/novels.
